Colin Francis – Lindenwold Early Childhood Center
Mr. Francis is an exceptionally dedicated and skilled educator who consistently goes above and beyond for his students, colleagues, and community. Each morning, he makes it a priority to greet every preschool student by name and check in with those in kindergarten and first grade, ensuring that every child starts their day feeling welcomed, supported, and valued. His calm, positive presence sets the tone for a nurturing learning environment where all students, regardless of background or ability, feel safe to grow and thrive.
With over eight years of service in the Lindenwold School District, Mr. Francis has become a well-respected and beloved member of the school community. His genuine relationships with families are evident; many know him personally through siblings he has taught or supported over the years. He builds these connections through trust, consistency, and compassion, qualities that allow him to inspire students both academically and emotionally.
Mr. Francis also demonstrates strong leadership and initiative within the school. He frequently checks in with colleagues to offer support, guidance, or simply a kind word. He steps in to help without being asked, modeling teamwork, empathy, and professionalism for those around him. In addition to his work with preschool and early elementary students, Mr. Francis also supports Twilight students as well as homebound students, ensuring that every learner in the district has access to care, connection, and academic growth regardless of circumstance. His dedication extends well beyond the classroom walls, reflecting his deep commitment to equity and opportunity for all students.

Denise Vogel – Lindenwold Early Childhood Center
In her role as the Early Childhood Center’s Counselor, Ms. Vogel has an extraordinary ability to meet the varied needs of our students. She approaches each child with empathy and understanding, taking the time to truly listen and provide individualized support. Whether helping students navigate emotional challenges, build social skills, or set academic goals, she always ensures that every student feels seen, valued, and capable of success. Her calm presence and genuine care create a safe, welcoming space where students can grow both emotionally and academically.
Ms. Vogel is also deeply committed to professional growth. She continually seeks out new learning opportunities and shares what she learns with staff, helping us all better support our students. Her leadership in professional development on topics such as trauma-informed practices, conflict resolution, and positive behavior supports has strengthened our entire school community.
Beyond her counseling work, Ms. Vogel goes above and beyond to foster family and community connections. She participates in meaningful events that bring families together, assists with community partnerships to provide resources for students, and is always willing to lend her time to schoolwide initiatives. Her efforts extend far beyond the walls of her office—she truly helps make our school a place where every child feels a sense of belonging.
